Daily Mail joins search for families

Posted on

Within a couple of hours of the Daily Mail being published on Saturday 29 January I received an email with the address of the parents of {cms_selflink page='101' text='Ambrose Morgan'} now living in Dorset.  The Trust will be contacting them to invite them to attend the dedication service at St Paul's Cathedral in London on 10 May 2011.

In addition, Cyril Alderson, who was at school with {cms_selflink page='88' text='Eric Platt'}, phoned to say that Eric had an elder brother, Brian, who was about two years older. Cyril travelled on the same bus as the Platt brothers to Sowerby Bridge Grammar School. He told me that Eric lived at Prospect House, Lighthazels on the edge of the moors above Sowerby Bridge. His father was a baker.
